Are you in awe of those that have the courage to run into a burning building?

If you answered yes to either of those questions, you'll want to climb with us.

343 Memorial Climb 2006
11:00pm to 3:00pm
Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas

We would like to thank the FC Dallas Foundation and the FC Dallas soccer team for inviting us back to their beautiful stadium.

The 343 Memorial Climb is a fundraising event hosted by the Fallen Heroes Family Support Fund. We are raising funds for the families of fire fighters who have been killed or injured in the line of duty. We support organizations that provide grief counseling for the spouses and children of fallen firefighters as well as help with bill paying and college scholarships.

This year’s funds will support the efforts of the Fleetwood Memorial Foundation and the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters.

The 343 Memorial Climb is a day of fun for the whole family!

Come join the public stair climb for people of all ages and abilities. Climbers will follow a marked path up and down the stadium steps which will take approximately 45 minutes and will begin at 12:30. There will be an alternate route for anyone with a physical handicap.

After that you can cheer on your local heroes to victory in the fire fighter relay competition. Fire fighters from all over the Metroplex will be competing in full gear for first and second place trophies. The teams will race on designated flights of stairs located around the stage area. The relay will begin at 1:00p.m. and will continue until all teams have raced. (Click on the register tab to sign up for the public climb.)

This year we are pleased to offer a free concert by country singer Derek Sholl! Derek’s new single “Here” can be heard on the radio now. Follow this link to learn more about Derek and hear his new song. www.dereksholl.com.

There is no minimum donation to attend. Bring what you have or can collect! However, there will be prizes awarded to the top money raisers. If you would like to donate online, we accept Visa and Mastercard. Just click on the Donate tab above.

The ladies from the 2009 “Smokin Hot In Texas” Female Fire Fighter calendar will be on hand to sign autographed copies of the calendar. Proceeds from the calendar sales during the event will go to Texas Burn Center and the 343 Memorial Climb.

We will see you at Pizza Hut Park on September 7, 2008!!

Sincerely,

343 Memorial Climb Planning Committee

Tim Horning has written a moving tribute to firefighters and their spouses. Recording artist Amy Lepard and her band have put their heart into recording the song. Both want to honor the 343 Memorial Climb and those that give of themselves so freely. We are honored to have "The Fire In Your Eyes" as the theme for our event.
